How we handle your information
Last updated: 24 July 2026. This policy explains what Bradford Bio Team collects when you use this website or our services, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it.
Who we are
Bradford Bio Team provides specialist biohazard, trauma and decontamination cleaning services across Bradford, West Yorkshire. For anything in this policy, you can reach us at quotes@bradfordbioteam.uk or on 01274 963 134. We are the data controller for the information described below.
The information we collect
We keep collection to the minimum a working cleaning business needs:
(a) Enquiry details. When you use the quote form or call us, we receive the name, phone number, email address and job description you choose to give us.
(b) Job records. If you book work, we hold the property address, the scope of work agreed, quotes, invoices and any photographs or certificates produced as part of the job, for example waste consignment notes.
(c) Technical basics. Our hosting provider records standard server logs, including IP addresses, to keep the site secure and functioning. We do not run advertising trackers.
Why we use it
(a) To answer your enquiry, provide a quote and carry out work you have booked, which is a contract with you, or steps taken at your request before one.
(b) To meet legal duties, for example hazardous waste documentation, which we are required to produce and retain.
(c) To keep basic business records for tax and insurance purposes, which is a legitimate interest and a legal requirement.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for marketing lists you have not asked to join.
The sensitive nature of our work
Some jobs, for example trauma or after death cleaning, involve situations you may consider deeply private. We treat all job information as confidential: our vehicles are unmarked, our records name the property and the work rather than the circumstances wherever possible, and details are shared only with people you have authorised, such as your insurer, landlord or solicitor.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Any cookies used are strictly functional and expire when you close your browser.
Who we share information with
(a) Service providers. Our website host, email delivery provider and form-handling provider process enquiry data on our behalf under contract.
(b) Waste carriers and regulators. Waste documentation naming the collection address is shared with licensed carriers and, where required, regulators.
(c) People you authorise. Insurers, landlords, letting agents or solicitors, only where you have asked us to deal with them.
How long we keep it
Enquiry details that do not lead to a booking are deleted within 12 months. Job records, quotes and invoices are kept for 6 years to meet tax and insurance requirements. Waste documentation is kept for the periods required by waste regulations.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask us at any time to:
(a) provide a copy of the personal information we hold about you;
(b) correct information that is wrong or incomplete;
(c) delete information we no longer need to keep;
(d) restrict or object to how we use it.
Email quotes@bradfordbioteam.uk and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Security
Enquiry and job data is stored on access-controlled systems, transmitted over encrypted connections, and available only to the team members who need it to do their job.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal information, we will update this page and the date at the top. Significant changes affecting existing customers will be communicated directly.
